This theme is by far one of my absolute favourites and is still such a popular wedding trend, I’m not at all surprised – I mean what’s better than beautiful organic blooms and lots of green foliage? They make you feel content and relaxed which is exactly how you want to feel on your wedding day, right?

Succulent on white

It’s a great way to bring a natural, earthy feel to your celebration. Take inspiration from the outdoors, with delicate sprigs of foliage, forest touches and cascading floral displays. The foliage should be at the very heart of all your floral displays.

We’ve pulled together a few favourite ideas that will let your inspiration blossom…

Think broader with the foliage – consider hanging floral garlands instead of / or in addition to table displays to create a magical woodland vibe.

Eucalyptus or lemon leaf look absolutely beautiful as a runner along rows of trestle tables. Not only will it look stunning against crisp white table linen but will also create a fragrance to die for and a soft, relaxed atmosphere.

Incorporate accents of gold and emerald green cut glass wear to add depth and texture to your tables. The perfect balance of botanical beauty!

Include copper pots of plants, herbs and cacti. Consider living succulents in your botanical theme – they are the perfect fit for this style and the tones and textures contrast so well with other foliage and herbs.

when it comes to the all important wedding bouquet, to follow through with the botanical theme, opt for big blooms intermingled with lots and lots of fresh greenery.

You could keep to a neutral colour pallete…with flashes of white amongst a background of forest tones.

or if you wanted colour, go for bold, wild, oversized blooms that work with the season in which your wedding falls and combine, of course with the different tones and textures of foliage. Ferns, palm leaves and eucalyptus look fabulous and consider unique additions such as Echeveria in your bouquet.
