New Year’s Eve – what a perfect day for a wedding. Double whammy and start the new year and DECADE in style as happily marrieds!!!
Gemma & Lawrence’s wedding took place in the stunning 16th century Barn at Norton Park Hotel, Sutton Scotney.
Gemma and i met at a wedding fayre last year and got chatting about her dream wedding. With a clear vision of the flowers she wanted to make her New Years Eve wedding extra special. She was going for a clean, classic colour scheme of Cream with a hint of navy along with the sliver shades that Eucalyptus provides us naturally.
Gemma chose the Cream Avalanche Rose, accompanied by deep blue Viburnum Berry, Gypsophila, Dusty Miller and Eucalyptus all hand- tied in a Bridal Bouquet and finished on the stem with Twine. Her 4 Bridesmaids were wearing navy. Carrying through the theme, they carried a bouquet with the same flowers chosen for the Bridal Bouquet. Five sweet, and very excited Flower Girls all each had a heart shaped flower wand decorated with Roses and Gypsophila.
Flowers to adorn the beautiful barn included 80cm tall fluted glass vases for the table centrepieces. A popular choice with couples as the height of the vase means you can all see each other around the table. The arrangements were filled with Cream Hydrangeas, Cream Avalanche Roses, Dark Blue Viburnum Berries, Gypsophila, trailing down the vase was variegated Ivy. Gemma & Lawrence’s daugher ‘Ivy’, she was very pleased to have foliage named after her!
It was an absolute pleasure to work with Gemma and her Mum, and they were all delighted with the flowers to accompany their special day.
